Cancel Transaction

Cancel Bitcoin Transaction

Sent BTC to the wrong address or set a fee that's too low? Pay 317,602 sats and we will broadcast a higher-fee double-spend that invalidates your original transaction — provided it is still unconfirmed in the mempool.

The 64-character transaction ID of the transaction you regret.

How Bitcoin transaction cancellation actually works

Bitcoin transactions cannot be deleted. They can only be replaced. We pay miners to mine a higher-fee transaction that conflicts with your original one — once mined, the original becomes permanently invalid. This works only while the original is still unconfirmed in the mempool. We tell you upfront if it cannot work.

What your sats fee buys

  • A higher-fee replacement transaction broadcast to 20+ nodes
  • Direct relay to mining pools controlling 80%+ hashrate
  • Up to 24 hours of automated re-broadcast attempts
  • Real-time race monitoring against your original TX

Important caveats — read this

  • Cancellation only works while the original TX is unconfirmed.
  • If the original confirms first, the replacement is wasted (race lost).
  • We never have access to your private keys. The cancellation works because the miners we partner with prioritize a conflicting higher-fee transaction.
  • Self-transfers between your own addresses are the easiest to cancel. Cancellations targeting an exchange deposit may be raced by the exchange's own re-broadcasts.

How to cancel a stuck Bitcoin transaction

If you sent a Bitcoin transaction with the wrong amount, wrong address, or a fee that is too low, you can pay 317,602 sats and we will broadcast a higher-fee replacement that invalidates the original. This only works while the original is unconfirmed.

How cancellation actually works

Bitcoin transactions cannot be deleted from the network. They can only be replaced by a conflicting transaction with a higher fee that miners prefer to mine first. We coordinate with mining pools to prioritize the replacement so that your original becomes permanently invalid once the replacement confirms.

When cancellation succeeds

Cancellation works best when the original transaction is RBF-signaled. For non-RBF transactions, success is best-effort and depends on whether our replacement reaches mining pools before the original confirms. Confirmed transactions cannot be cancelled.

When to use cancel vs accelerate

Use accelerate if you sent the right transaction but it is stuck due to low fee. Use cancel if you sent the wrong transaction (wrong address, wrong amount) or want the funds to stay where they are. Cancel is more expensive because it requires winning a race against miners.

FAQ

What if my original transaction confirms before the cancel works?

Then the cancellation race is lost. The original is permanent and the replacement is invalid. We are upfront about this risk.

Do you need my private keys to cancel?

No. Cancellation works because we coordinate with miners to prefer a higher-fee transaction, not because we sign anything for you.

Can you cancel a confirmed transaction?

No. Once a transaction is confirmed it cannot be reversed by anyone, including us, exchanges, or even miners.

Why is cancel more expensive than accelerate?

Because we have to outbid your original transaction in fees and pay miners enough to prioritize a replacement before your original gets mined.
